Kinds of nouns

You have to know that nouns in English divided into Two types. First type is ( Countable nouns ) and the second type is ( Un countable nouns ) and each type is different from the other.

Both in way of combining or asking for it. And you have to study these things in depth and understanding because difference of name type means difference in tools and pronouns which are used with both of them so we must first know the type of noun which is based on how form the rest of the sentence .

Kinds of nouns

First : ( Countable nouns )

Countable nouns are the things that can be counted using the numbers for example : 9 pens – 4 dogs – 3 cats .

It characterized by the definite tools that come with it in singular form and also how to collect and ask about it as shown in the following table .

-Second : ( Un countable nouns )

Un countable nouns are things that can't count by the numbers and include :

✔ Names of person for example : ( Ali – Sandy )

✔ Names of countries and locations for example : ( Nile river – Lebanon )

✔ Thoughts and shapeless things (drinks – gas - ………)

Un countable nouns don't need definite tools like countable nouns and also don't collect and we'll get to know it more from the following table

When we ask about un countable we
use the question form ( How mush )
