As we indicate in the previous table , we will not add ( s ) to the verb in the simple present unless we're talking about third party and its single otherwise , the verb retains its original form .

We should also emphasize an important point , when adding ( does – do ) both in negative or questioning comes next ( infinitive ) .

We know from our previous lessons that every base is anomalous and at this tense there also some verbs which adding to it (es) instead of ( s) if the subject is single as we know .

1-Verbs ending in the following letters ( x- o – sh –ch – ss ). If the verb ends with one of these letters, the subject is single, we have to add ( es ) to the verb .

For example :

✔ Maggie brushes her hair every day .

✔ She goes to her best friend in the park .

- if The verb ends with ( y ) preceded by ( a vowel ), we turn ( y ) in to ( I ) before adding ( es ) For example :

✔ The plane flies high in to the sky. It's a great view .

As we mentioned before, there are words that are indicative of each tense, but not required to exist. Although it better to recognize the most important words associated with the simple present.

The most important words:

Never – sometimes – often – usually – every ( day – week ) – always

For example :

✔ They always help their father in talking care of the home garden .
